Iona Verity

In this project we designed for the Italian opera 'The Coronation of Poppea. 

 

The era I was given to re-design this project was the 1870's, so i created a red and cream evening gown made from shot red and black taffeta and cream taffeta which I created ribbons from to embellish the dress.

 

 

I also made all the undergarments from scratch, including the crinoline with bustle attached, the corset and also the chemise and drawers to match the era.
